Dental Staff

Dr. Feng Gao has been a general dentist, for 37 years. He graduated from Peking University School of Dentistry in 1983 and completed his pediatric dental residency at the UTHealth School of Dentistry in 1994. He also completed a dental oncology fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in 1995. While accomplished and experienced in all aspects of dentistry, he particularly enjoys doing implants, root canals, minor oral surgery, and Invisalign. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, serving at church, spending time with family, and trying new restaurants.

Dr. James Gao is an associate dentist and has been with us since 2019. Born and raised in Houston, he grew up watching his father practice dentistry and was inspired to follow in his footsteps. His goal is to continue providing the high quality dental care that Dr. Feng Gao is known for, while modernizing his practice. During his spare time, Dr. James Gao enjoys playing sports and board games with friends. Dr. Gao majored in Biology and Chinese Studies at Furman University in 2015 and completed his dental training at the UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston in 2019.

Ingrid Song is a dental hygienist and has been with us since 1998. She started off as part of the front desk team and eventually went on her to earn her RDH degree at the UTHealth School of Dentistry in 2005. She was born and raised in Shanghai, China and moved to Sugar Land, Texas in 1993. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and serving together at Fort Bend Community Church. Her other interests include reading the Bible, chatting with friends, experimenting with food, traveling with family, and gardening.

Sonia is our office billing/coding specialist and office manager. After graduating from Alief's Elsik High School in 2003, Sonia joined our Gao Dental's front desk team. In 2007, she became our billing/coding specialist and office coordinator. Mexico-born & Houston-raised, Sonia is fluent in both Spanish and English. In her spare time you can find her practicing yoga, running, reading classic novels, and eating at the trendiest vegetarian restaurants around town. 

Susan Yue has been with Gao Dental since 2010. She graduated from Yanbian Medical College in 1983 from the Department of Pharmacy. During her free time, she enjoys growing flowers and vegetables in her backyard and going for long walks.

Rena has been with Gao Dental since 2020. She graduated from the University of Houston in 2019 with a degree in accounting. In her leisure time, she enjoys baking cakes, watching movies, and traveling.

Yanali has been with Gao Dental, since 2022. Though she was born in California, she grew up in Houston for most of her life. She graduated from Kempner High School in 2019. During her spare time, she enjoys going to car meets/shows, eating cake/sweets, watching TV, and spending time with friends/family.

Jean has been with Gao Dental since 2020. During her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her children.
